Cars and Such

#5 can't wait for 'Cars' to hit the big screen. It is a huge deal for us to go see the flick as a family.

Possibly the blockbuster movie of the summer may be about Route 66. The only thing to top going to see such a cool movie as a family might be seeing it at a special place.......http://comevisit.com/66drivein/

How Familiar are You with Route 66?

Do you know the 8 states Rt 66 intersects? Did you know it was 80 years ago when Rt 66 initially allowed drivers to journey west? Both the beginning points and ending points of Rt 66 are debated.

If you are westbound, most believe it begins in Chicago at Jackson and Lakeshore and ends in Santa Monica, CA. Some think it ends at the pier others believe it never quite made it that far.

Starting with the End in Mind

If 7east66.com were the name of this blog, Chicago would be the finish line. But as we make final preparations for the Mother Road, the end will be the beginning. Chicago will be the off ramp from the interstate and the onramp to America for us. We can't wait!

IN Search of an RV

One aspect of our trip that caught us by surprise was the challenge of finding an RV to rent. A number of dealers would not return our calls for information about their rentals. I wonder if they heard about our crew somehow?

But then we came across a first class small business in Greenwood, IN. http://www.aaronrvrent.com/ Ed at A-Aaron RV Rent was very helpful in giving us the information to make an educated decision. If you are considering an RV rental in the Indianapolis area, I would highly recommend his company!
